Mercedes on the Pinehurst Village Green

It has become a tradition at the Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance for a local club to have a display of their marque the evening before the Concours and this year it was the MBCA’s turn.  There were 30 members’ cars of various ages along with two new vehicles furnished by Mercedes-Benz of Fayetteville.  The Green in the center of Pinehurst village provides an elegant venue for about any event, but the addition of fine motorcars, champagne with strawberries and piano music in the background made it a truly memorable evening.  The Triangle Section set up a canopy to provide information for visitors and a focal point for the cars on display.  There was informal judging for awards to be given at a dinner on the following evening.  Several different sections of the MBCA were represented along with national officers so it was a good opportunity for members from a wide area to get acquainted and to introduce young visitors to their potential future cars.

The participants went to dinner just across the street at Dugan’s Pub to complete the evening.
