Mercedes-Benz Night at the North Carolina Art Museum

The North Carolina Art Museum has an evening event each Friday with music and things to eat and drink. On May 19th, their event was augmented with a display of Mercedes-Benz automobiles ranging in age from 1955 (a 300 SL) to 2017. Around 25 members of the Triangle Section of MBCA brought 15 of their cars for display on a large patio in front of the new wing of the art museum. M-B of Raleigh added two new cars for us to appreciate. During the day on Friday it had been quite warm, but by late afternoon it was very pleasant with cooler temperatures and a good breeze. Members had opportunity to interact with each other and people attending the event for a couple of hours and then went inside to have dinner and listen to music from the Onyx Club Boys and their “gypsy jazz”.
